Keeping Abreast of Time and Classics Application: Practicality, Creativity, Digitization and Modernization of Classics in Humanities

This paper state from the value of classic in humanities to the difficult position spreading classics today. In order for classics to keep abreast of time, we should put transformation and application into effect. I borrow the saying of Hu An Ding in Song Dynasty, which said “Theory with Practice.” Meanwhile, referring to the concept “innovation” Steve Jobs advocated, I figured two keywords: “borrow” and “connect.” By examining the difficult position spreading and applying classics today, plus my experiences in executing project and publishing treatises, I will provide my advice of what should promote and what should reform in four aspects, which are traditional culture and business management, digital contents and cultural and creative industry, the height and pattern of humanism quality, and modern interpret of classics in humanities. To sum up, the transformation and application of classics is just the matter of practicality, creativity, digitization and modernization.
