Mingxin Baojian Spread Abroad and Its Enlightenment to International Chinese Education

The study of Mingxin Baojian as an classical Chinese textbook overseas has been ignored by the academic circles. Investigate its spread and analyze its content and characteristics, in order to provide reference for the compilation of classical Chinese textbooks for international Chinese education. Mingxin Baojian is the earliest Chinese classic translated into Western characters. It has been widely spread all over the world and has been used as a textbook for learning classical Chinese. The full text of Mingxin Baojian runs through the concept of Kindness, the language is mixed with classical Chinese and vernacular, and the sentence pattern is mainly short sentences. Mingxin Baojian coincides with the theories of linguistics, pedagogy and second language acquisition. It shows the characteristics of close connection between language and culture, learner centered and a large number of language and culture input. The compilation of classical Chinese textbooks for international Chinese education can be used for reference in the combination of language and culture, theme classification, the use of chapters and sentences, a large number of corpus input and so on.
